Run by Sam Pick, the Renewables Network was invited to organise a small group of their members to meet with Mr Alexander and Hull Liberal Democrat Councillor, Claire Thomas. The meeting took place in the impressive Humber Quays building in Hull, in the quirky surroundings of the 1 Art Gallery.
We joined representatives from Hull College, Vivergo Fuels, Groundwork Hull and Hull Bondholders to name just a few. The intention was for Mr Alexander to meet informally with a small number of people from the Hull business community to discuss the renewables opportunity for the Humber, and also the potential for the city.
We were proud to tell of our partnership with DONG Energy, and the new appointments that we’ve made to our teams in both ICS Cleaning and SPS Security following the contracts we’re now delivering on DONG’s behalf.
Mr Alexander was pleased to hear that, even for smaller businesses, the supply chain for the renewables industry is far-reaching, and it was such a positive story that new jobs had been created as a result of the renewable energy investment in the Humber.
