SPS Technical’s team of engineers has been issued with iPads in a move to be more environmentally friendly and reduce paperwork.
Customers prefer digital documentation nowadays, so in response to that SPS Technical issued the team with iPads which enables them to carry out site surveys and all communication with customers, right through to invoicing and aftercare.
James Perrin, Manager of SPS Group’s Technical Division, said: “We phased in the iPads towards the end of 2013 with the aim of being fully paperless for 2014. Although early days, it’s certainly proved to be a positive move so far”. He continued, “Our team of engineers are always working out on site, and we’ve had a tremendous start to the year with contracts being delivered as far apart as Bridlington in East Yorkshire, Rotherham, South Yorkshire to St Helens in Merseyside. This enables the team to be far more efficient, and that they can respond to customer requests whilst out and about, rather than having to wait to come back to our head office in Hull.”
