Voted the least romantic town in the UK in 2013, the people of Scunthorpe won’t take such claims lying down. The team at the Foundry Shopping Centre is hosting a Valentine’s Day event to prove the people of Scunthorpe are full of romance.  From 10am on Friday 14th February, the Foundry team will be handing out chocolates and roses as a thank you to their romantic shoppers.
Shoppers will be invited to visit the Valentine’s Love Zone in the Centre and have their picture taken in front of a romantic backdrop.  They will be encouraged to add them to the Centre’s Facebook page, and show the rest of the UK just how romantic the people of Scunthorpe can be.  To help to encourage the romantic mood, romantic music will play in the background.
Centre Manager, Peter Golightly, explains “We think Scunthorpe is a romantic town and Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show it. We look forward to rewarding our shoppers with Valentine’s treats and hope they enjoy their visit”.
“We hope to see everyone on Friday 14th February and wish all our shoppers a very happy Valentine’s Day” adds Peter.
The teams from SPS Security and ICS Cleaning will be joining in with the day’s fun, and handing out chocolates and the roses to the romantic shoppers.
