In memory of a cherished team member, Theresa Keelty, who passed away in 2015, ICS Cleaning initiated the Theresa Keelty Shining Star Awards. This tribute honours team members who demonstrate outstanding performance and commitment to their work. The awards were inspired by Keelty’s impressive tenure at ICS Cleaning, where she ascended to the role of Area Manager while primarily based out of the company’s main office at Neptune House in Hull.
Tracey Crow, the Operations Director at ICS Cleaning, expressed how deeply Theresa Keelty’s passing affected the team and emphasised the importance of continuing to honour her memory through these awards. In a recent announcement, ICS Cleaning presented the awards to distinguished cleaning staff from its regional branches.
The recipients for 2020 were Susan Marks from South Humberside, Jennifer Morley from North Humberside, and Tracy Dent from West Yorkshire.
Susan Marks, who assumed the role of Supervisor at Huntcliff School in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrated exceptional leadership and adaptability. Lisa Elm, the Area Manager for South Humberside, praised Susan for her proactive approach during the challenging times, noting her consistent positivity and exceptional dedication.
Jennifer Morley, recognised for her reliability across various sites in Humberside, earned accolades from her manager, April Mulvana, the Area Manager for North Humberside. Morley’s resilience and positive attitude, especially starting right before the pandemic crisis, were highlighted as exemplary.
Tracy Dent, honoured for her service in the West Yorkshire area, has been with ICS since 2013. Based in Leeds, she is known for her dedication to maintaining communal areas and offices at Aquis House. Her line manager, Jasmine Rhodes, commended her for the strong working relationships she has built and her willingness to go the extra mile in her duties.
