In detail
SPS Group's Clean capability is delivered by ICS Cleaning (Independent Cleaning Services Limited), formed in Hull in 1995. It provides contract, school and education, office, industrial and specialist cleaning, including window, carpet and gutter cleaning, floor care and washroom services across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, with more than 850 cleaning staff at more than 150 client sites, over 100 of them education sites.
SPS Group's Protect capability is delivered by SPS Security Limited, established in Hull in 1992. It provides manned security guarding, GPS-tracked mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response, open-up and lock-up, vacant property security and rapid deployment CCTV across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, coordinated from its own 24-hour control room in Hull. SPS Security is an SIA Approved Contractor, assessed by SSAIB, and 98% of its officers are directly employed.
SPS Group's Detect capability is delivered by SPS Technical, a division of SPS Security Limited, and TESS (Hull) Ltd. Together they design, install, maintain and monitor fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV, access control and intruder alarms across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. SPS Technical is BAFE SP203-1 registered for fire detection and alarm systems and SSAIB certified for security systems, with more than 25 engineers and more than 1,750 systems maintained.
SPS Group's Maintain capability brings together ICS Maintenance, which provides portable appliance (PAT) testing and servicing and repairs to cleaning machinery and equipment, and the planned preventive maintenance of fire and security systems by SPS Technical, which maintains more than 1,750 systems with more than 2,850 scheduled service visits a year. ICS Maintenance works for SPS Group clients and other businesses; its own website launches in early 2027.
Training is part of every SPS Group contract and works in two layers. Mandatory training for every member of staff covers safeguarding, site inductions, health and safety, annual refresher talks and accreditation and compliance training. Added-value training then builds skills across a broad range of courses, including workplace skills, supervisory and management training. SPS Group's Train capability is led by SPS Academy, formerly SPS Training, a Highfield approved centre based in Hull. It also provides SIA security licence and refresher training, CCTV operations, accredited first aid at work and health and safety qualifications, online courses, fire and security engineer training, cleaning skills training, skills testing, and management and supervisory training, at clients' premises across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire or at its training venue in Hull, with specialist courses through approved training partners. Courses are open to SPS Group clients and other organisations; SPS Academy's own website launches in early 2027.
SPS Group's Integrate capability brings the other five together: one integrated contract or separate lots, each service run by its own specialist manager, a senior management team as the single point of contact, and coordinated schedules, fault reporting and reporting across the site.
