Detect is the fire and security systems capability of SPS Group, delivered by SPS Technical and TESS. Local engineers design, install, take over, maintain and monitor the systems that spot a fire, an intruder or an unauthorised visitor first.
In short
SPS Group's Detect capability is delivered by SPS Technical, a division of SPS Security Limited, and TESS (Hull) Ltd. Together they design, install, maintain and monitor fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV, access control and intruder alarms across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. SPS Technical is BAFE SP203-1 registered for fire detection and alarm systems and SSAIB certified for security systems, with more than 25 engineers and more than 1,750 systems maintained.

How it joins up
Buy detect on its own, or combine it with other SPS Group capabilities on one site. Each service keeps its own specialist manager, with one senior point of contact across them all.
Alarms and CCTV can be monitored by the group's own 24-hour control room, with SPS Security officers responding on site.
Protect Detect + MaintainPlanned preventive maintenance keeps every system compliant, with records ready for insurers and inspections.
Maintain Detect + IntegrateOn integrated contracts, fault reporting and service visits are coordinated with cleaning and security schedules.

Train is part of every one: mandatory training for all our staff (safeguarding, site inductions, health and safety), plus added-value training from a broad range of courses.
